Book title: Slow Down
Author: Kristie Posted November 13, 2002 My reading pace has been slowed by two unrelated factors. First, I am working on several knitted and/or crocheted Christmas gifts, and reading while doing handwork frequently makes me feel motion sick. Second, I am currently reading Cook & Peary: The Polar Controversy, Resolved, by Robert M. Bryce. The book consists of 1152 paper-thin pages of very small type -- 975 pages are text, the rest are notes and bibliography. I keep meaning to weigh it out of curiosity, but never remember to. While the book is fascinating, it is slow going. Posts here are likely to be sporadic until I finish these two projects. |
